What customers say?

“ Amazing food. Very nice host. Traditional recipes and honest food. ”

“ While Nodoguro is the most famous dish, the fresh fish platter is actually the most delicious. It comes with extremely fresh seasonal sashimi and a wide variety of condiments, and the restaurant uses high-quality wasabi, making it the perfect snack to go with alcohol. The Nodoguro Genshiyaki is fragrant and has just the right amount of fat, making it something you can't get anywhere else. ”

“ We made of reservations online from Hawaii. They had a cute card welcoming us and the meal was excellent. Service was very good and while we had some difficulties in communication. The friendliness of the staff, excellent fresh fish and quality made for a memorable meal. ”

“ Visited at last year end for the 3rd time. Nodoguro is a special fish from deep in the sea. They grill on charcoal and takes time to prepare. But the tastes really good. Their vegi are again quite good ”

“ ◽ For a slightly luxurious drinking party Customer average spend: ¥8,000 and up Located in Hatchobori 2-chome, Chuo Ward, about a 3-minute walk from Hatchobori Station, Nakamata Sake Brewery is an izakaya with an impressive robatayaki grill on the first floor. [Food & Taste] ・5-piece platter delivered directly from Toyosu (¥1,400 including tax) → The sashimi was rich and delicious. ※The flavor seemed stronger than fresh. Delivered directly (not purchased the same day? Maybe aged?) ・Bottarga radish → The outside of the bottarga seemed a little dry, but it had just the right amount of saltiness and flavor, making it delicious. ・Brussels sprouts → We had grilled seasonal vegetables. They were so fresh, even those who don't like vegetables might enjoy them. [Price] For two of us, we had three dishes and two drinks, and the bill came to around ¥8,500. Since I had plans to go to a second bar, I kept the portions small, but the price was still reasonable. *I was satisfied, but if you order food and drinks as if you were at a typical izakaya, you might be surprised when you get to the checkout. [Customer Service] The staff were very polite, smiling, and eager to serve me, which made for a comfortable experience. The service from the younger staff (men and women in their 30s and up) was especially great. Even when they made a few small mistakes, it didn't bother me because it was clear they were trying their best. The superiors' service was a bit more manual. [Atmosphere] I ate on the second floor, and the staff were within easy reach, making it very easy to order. Considering the price, I wish there was a more spacious seating area. [Customer demographic] Men and women in their 40s and up, local working adults [Overall satisfaction rating] AA (The food is delicious, and considering the price, I'd like to use it for special occasions, but the space is a bit cramped, so it might be difficult to use. It's good for parties with average customer spends starting from ¥8,000, and for those looking for an izakaya where the food isn't a concern.) S: Definitely a must-visit! (90 points and up) AA: Highly recommended (80-89 points) A: If you're unsure, go for it (60-79 points) B: Not bad (50-59 points) C: Not recommended (up to 49 points) Points) Taste: Price: Service: Atmosphere: [Recommended for] Those in their 40s and up who want to enjoy a delicious meal *Recommended for those in their 20s and up who don't mind the price [Today's Personal Recommendation] 5-Piece Platter Direct from Toyosu: ¥1,400 (tax included) →Includes fresh Oma bluefin tuna, and everything was rich and delicious! [Visit Date] January 24, 2025 *Prices, menu items, and personal reviews are based solely on a personal experience. ”

“ Nakamata Sake Brewery Yakata 2-18-1 Hatchobori, Chuo-ku, Tokyo 104-0032 Revisited on November 27, 2025. My last visit left a good impression, and I really wanted to try the Nodoguro (blackthroat seaperch) primal grill, so I decided to visit as an early year-end party. All of the fish dishes in the course were excellent. The guests were very satisfied. I've added some photos from this visit, too. Some of them may explain why the restaurant was named "Nodoguro." ======================== Visited on October 2, 2025. Passing through the noren curtain, you'll find a grill next to the entrance, where charcoal is quietly burning. This is the kitchen where the ancient Japanese cooking method of "primal grilling," in which fish and other ingredients are grilled by standing them on the edge of a charcoal fire, is performed. After taking a seat and ordering a drink, the waiter will bring the day's recommended ingredients and carefully explain them to you as soon as your first drink arrives. From the menu, I chose saury and taro, as they were in season, overlooking the restaurant's classic blackthroat seaperch, and it was absolutely delicious. All of Nakamata Shuzo's shochu were delicious, but the one in Kurochiyoka was particularly unusual, so I ended up ordering it twice. The homemade satsumaage and sashimi platter were also very tasty, and the potato salad with its chunky potato texture was great. The service was also very attentive, and I enjoyed my meal from start to finish. I would definitely visit this restaurant again to try the primitive grilled blackthroat seaperch. Thank you. ”

“ The other day, I had a 7-course meal at Nakamata Sake Brewery Yakata (Satsuma Kuroge Wagyu Zabuton Steak, one Nodoguro Genshiyaki per person, and all-you-can-drink for 9,000 yen). The Nodoguro Genshiyaki had fragrant skin, plump meat, and the sweetness of the fat was amazing. The Zabuton Steak was also tender and richly flavorful. Every dish was carefully prepared, leaving me very satisfied. They have a wide selection of alcohol, and the staff are very attentive. The restaurant has a calm atmosphere, making it perfect for business meetings and special occasions. For all this, 9,000 yen is excellent value for money. It's a restaurant I'd like to visit again. ”
